America Is Going Green, ALL ABOARD! Print E-mail
Digg!

Corporate America has gone crazy with green. More and more companies are struggling to find their niche in the new green marketplace. US consumers have decided that they want green products from green companies. They want to drive their SUV across town to Wal-Mart and buy eco friendly looking products from China that are sold by American companies and they want to feel good about it.

"This eco friendly market is the future of product development" said A.G. Lafley, Procter & Gamble's CEO. “We are currently working on a super concentrated laundry detergent that’s packed under high pressure into a super thin recycled cardboard box. We’re also using recycled cardboard for the packaging on our disposable diaper product we call the Land Filler.”

“I look for eco friendly products whenever I go shopping” said Mary Poly of Midland MI. “I just bought this great solid plastic flashlight with long lasting lithium ion batteries and best of all it has this great wrist strap made completely of hemp. I feel good knowing I’m helping the environment.”

The green movement is trickling down to the average person as well and everyone else jumping aboard the bandwagon. “I’m 100% natural,” said Tashanah Star Johnson, a prostitute from Newark, New Jersey. "Other than the penicillin I’m on, which I think is a synthetic due to a build up of resistant strains of STDs, other than that, I’m 100% natural and that’s how I sell myself. It’s part of my marketing plan that I submitted to my business lender, Indymac Bank.”

“Carbon Tetrachloride, is a Toxic Chemical Substance, found in Gun-Powder / Fuels / Freon / Gun Cleaning Solution, etc. and if it is contracted into the body, it can ...attack the ...central nervous system & reach the stage of having adverse reactions on the human mind & begin to degenerate the vital organs of the body...& worst of all it can be transmitted into the body from succeeding generations from the American military soldier, but now we package it in a recycled plastic bottle helping to save the earth,” said Andrew Liveris Dow Chemical’s CEO. “We are very happy and proud to be doing our part."

Traditionally Pagans and Native Americans have always put Mother Earth first and yet have been persecuted for their beliefs. Now with the new Green movement more people will agree with these groups before persecuting them. Globally, the idea of “eco friendly” has been around for many years and has been a standard way of doing business in much of Europe. Now that Americans have embraced the idea it’s important. Once America catches up with nations like Germany we will be able to tell the rest of the world what they need to do to become green.

There are many great new products emerging like bamboo clothing, solar-powered attic fans, bio-composters, and other cool technologies. But there is also a disturbing problem showing up around the eco market and it has it’s own name “Greenwashing”. The art of "greenwashing," in which companies claim to be green in order to capture an ecologically conscious market segment.

There are credit unions, Sunroom builders, Investment firms, Radio stations, Movie theaters, and various other companies that have absolutely nothing to do with the environment all making the green claim. A lot of these companies that claim to be ecologically conscious are actually major polluters. Some paint companies offer a small line of very expensive "green" paints, cosmetic companies that hawk non-petroleum-based eyeliners, all trying to cash in on the green buck without actually doing anything for the environment.

So we here at My Corporate Hell have decided that we too are going Green and want you to visit our site as often as possible to help save the environment. We promise each of our loyal readers (first time readers not eligible) that we will always-probably recycle all the toxic heavy metals from our computers when we dispose of them sometimes. Other than the electricity we use which is created from coal burning power plants we’ll not give off any airborne emissions. Well maybe a little methane in our offices after one of our Taco Bell business luncheons, but that’s it. We’ll work hard a lot of the time to help clean up this world. With your help and your visits to our sponsor, we’ll make this world a better place.
